The Happy Number 3

Hey everyone,

I hope you are having a fantastic bank holiday weekend and there is a time for a new blog. The last blog for April.

As I have described in the first blog what exactly the blog will be about, now is a time for a little breakaway and cover the trip's part of the blog.... and tell you about my longer weekend in Germany after Easter.

My parents have moved to Germany about three years ago and they have been living in Ulm- southern Germany since then.

Danube river dividing the town into two parts. One called Ulm and the other one called New-Ulm.
This is the town where Albert Einstein was born and where the highest church-cathedral in the world exist. The cathedral is called Ulmer Munster and is 161.53 metres (530ft.) high. It takes an hour with little breaks to reach the last stair of the tower but once you get there, the city view is just incredible.

Ulm Munster was begun in the Gothic era but not compleated until the late 19th century. Nevertheless, most of the church except the towers and some outer decorations was compleated. 768 stairs lead to the top of the Munster's spire. At the 143m. (469ft.) there is a panoramic view of Ulm in Baden-Wurttemberg and New-Ulm in Bavaria. The final stairwell to the top( known as a third Gallery) is a high, spiralling staircase that has barely enough room for one person only! It is really tight! If you are claustrophobic I do not recommend you to go....😱

I made it to the top of the tower two years ago with my boyfriend as we were visiting my parents for Easter, but I did it again especially for you guys, accompanied by my mum and my granny. It was my grandmother's dream to climb all the stairs and see the entire city from above.

P.S. She is 68 years old the loveliest granny in the world and she made it. I am so proud of her!
There are some photographs followed!

I apologise about the photos but the weather was not so nice than I picked several lovely photos taken in 2015 and they can describe you all the beauty around.
If you like adventures this is a good one! And I definitely recommend it to you!

Today is the last day of April and this is the last blog for the month too. But I can not skip the part with my monthly beauty salon experience which was also in Germany.

This time I have decided to get a pedicure done as the spring is nearly gone and the summer knocking on the door so we have to get ready and be presentable when the time to get the socks off arrives.

There were two nail salons in the shopping centre near my parent's place so I went to the "Beauty nails club". The photo below was stolen from their website. I could not shoot more...soorrrryyyy 😓

The salon looks pretty new. It is really modern, fashionable and sparkly but from outside the door!!!
Once you get in it is a bit different, dusty and disorganised. The staff members were Asian which was great because they were speaking some English!!! Other wise I could not say anything in german as I do not speak german! Anyway... they prepared the bath and invited me to sit down, relax and enjoy the pedicure. I picked the longest pedicure they offer with exfoliation and massage. It is bout 45-50 minutes.

The disinfection and the sanitazing level was not great.
The cuticle work, shape and foot file was really good. The exfoliation was fine, the massage was not good, actually, there was not really massage thought!!!!!!

As we all know the last step of pedicure or manicure is the colour application and that was the worst.... first I picked an O.P.I. colour, second I did not bring flip flops...of course..... OK, OK, FINE it is my fault but the therapist was so polite to put my feet under manicure ventilator machine to dry my toes 👍👍👍. Awesome!

And then suddenly I decided that does not make any sense to stay and wait to dry my toes just becuse the poish was not aplied good!!! There was polish all over my cuticles! I am really sorry I could not capture this in a photo and show you but I just asked for cotton pads and nail varnish removal, took off the colour, put on my shoes, paid the price of 35€ and left the salon....

Sooo, overall about this experience, I consider it as ACCEPTABLE because they offered me coffee, tea and water. Also, the bigger part of the treatment was good enough and I give them a bonus like because of the ventilator machine for drying my toes.

Well, I guess this is it for the month of April.

I really hope you enjoyed the first tree blogs.
I will try to publish at least one blog a week but the summer is coming so I will be very busy at my work but I will do my best for you.

If you had a laugh on my funny stories then do not hate, let be a friends 😉
And I almost forgot ..... please subscribe or give me a comment.

Have a nice week,
